Stargirl season 2 begins on Tuesday, August 10, 2021.


Season 1 of Stargirl debuted on Monday May 18, 2020 on streaming service. Stargirl  premiered on CW one day after streaming. The following day Tuesday May 19 was on The CW TV show.   A trailer of Stargirl was released on December 7, 2019.

Stargirl, Courtney Whitmore, is written by Geoff Johns who created her by in 1999.  Stargirl’s name and personality is similar to Geoff’s sister who passed away in airplane explosion in 1996.


In September 2018, Brec Bassinger was tapped to play the role of Courtney Whitmore. Brec is famous for her role in Nickelodeon‘s Bella and Bulldogs. Photo above is courtesy from

Courtney first appeared in Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #0 (July 1999) published by DC Comics written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Lee Moder.  Courtney goes by Stargirl and Star-Spangled Kid. Her stepfather wears S.T.R.I.P.E, a robotic suit who accompanies her to protect her.

Stargirl has appeared in several seasons of Smallville and second season of The Legends of Tomorrow.

Now we are hearing Stargirl might appear in the Black Adam movie. That movie has a release date of December 22, 2021 but was moved back because of the coronavirus.

Back in July 2018 Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. #0 (July 1999) can be found on ebay for $30-$50. Now with the news out about this show, it flooded the market, you can purchase a copy for around $20-$25 plus shipping in September 2018. There were 3 sales on March 1 2019, they sold for $11.41, $14.50 and $12.41. Some other sales were $19.99 on March 27 and $24.98 on March 29. There were 2 sales on November 21, one sold for $29.86 and another for $49.98.

We were days away from the premiere Season 1 of Stargirl, one sold for $25.49 plus shipping on April 28, 2020.

Let’s find out what the market is for the book since Season 2 debut today. One sold for $52.00  plus $5 shipping on August 4, 2021 and 9.8 sold for $300 plus $16 shipping on August 3, 2021

You can tell this book has not taken off since the announcement back in summer 2018. Will this book be more popular when the Season 2 premiered? Only time will tell.
