Titans (DC)

Now the first 11 episode of Season 1 of  Titans has aired and Season 2 premiered on Friday, September 6. Let’s see how that show affect the value of DC Comics Present #26. Before we go into that, let’s go over the Titans.
DC streaming service launched on September 15, 2018 on Batman Day. This year Batman Day will be on September 21, 2019.  The Titans premiered on October 12. The Titans team  have Robin, Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy. Anna Diop plays the role of Starfire, Teagan Croft plays the role of Raven and Ryan Potter plays the role of Beast Boy, and Brenton Thwaites plays the role of Robin.
Starfire, Raven and  Beast Boy as Changeling first appeared in DC Comics Present #26 (October 1980) created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. This issue also has the first appearance of Cyborg (Victor Stone). Robin first appeared in Detective Comics 38 (April 1940)- that comic book is not within buying power for a lot of us.
Starfire  (Koriand’r) has superhuman strength, speed, agility and endurance.
Raven (Rachel Roth) has ability to teleport and control her “soul-self”.
Beast Boy (Garfield Logan)  has the ability to transform into any animal.
A  copy of DC Comics Present #26 CGC 9.8 sold for $699.99 in May 2018. With all the hype of Titans,  the price has increased during the summer of 2018. There were 3 sales on ebay on August 28, 2018. They were $798.99, $815.00 and $799..00. About $100 price jump on this book. This comic book is a keeper because it also has the first appearance of Cyborg. One sale on ebay for $850 on October 15 and another sale for $875 on October 22. This book is heading toward the right direction!
Now the first season has ended 2018, let’s find out the value of this book.  There were 2 sales on December 16. They sold for $740 and $735. Prices have dropped a little. Is Christmas a factor for the price drop?
