Batgirl

Batgirl first appeared in Detective Comics 359 (January 1967) published by DC Comics written by Gardner Fox and drawn by Carmine Infantino  She is the daughter of police commissioner James Gordon.

Batgirl has appeared in many comic books other than Detective Comics like Batman and  Batman Family until 1998. She was shot by the Joker and became paraplegic in Batman: The Killing Joke. Afterward many heroines like Huntress, Cassandra Cain and Stephanie Brown, took up the role of Batgirl.

When DC relaunched Batgirl monthly title in New 52, Barbara Gordon is recovered from her paralysis after a surgical procedure.

Batgirl has appeared in many TV shows, cartoons, and movies. The most notable movie was Batman and Robin (June 1997), Alicia Silverstone played Batgirl.

There is talk of a live action Batgirl movie. Back in March 2017, it was announced Josh Whedon, director of Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, will write and direct Batgirl. In February 2018, he left the project. in April 2018, Warner Bros announced that Christina Hodson, the writer of Bumblebee (2018) and Birds of Prey (2020), has been tapped to write the screenplay for Batgirl.

I think this is a book to get because I think this movie will get made.
